Fear: The Pandemic of the Soul

Meet the newest members of our family Tobias, (Toby, Greek for God is Good) and our little girl Tally (Hebrew for the dew that falls from heaven).

One of the most powerful breath sessions I ever facilitated ended with a very conscious, even stoic client dissolving into tears unable to speak. When she was finally able to talk, she told me she was taken out of her body and transported to a huge and stunning light that she could look directly into without it hurting her eyes. This light was surrounded by a great number of beings that parted as she approached and made way for her to move closer to the light. Once she was close to this pulsating light, it spoke to her quite clearly saying “There is never, never, never ever anything to be afraid of” and she was then catapulted back into her body.

During the last few months, we have seen a change in the world that in some ways will be long lasting. These deviations will provide a personal choice as to whether the change is for your benefit or for your demise. Greater than any viral attack on the body is a viral attack on the soul. Spreading like wildfire, fear travels from one person to another morphing into stress, anxiety, trepidation and terror. Fear of infection, fear of loss, fear of pain, fear of life and fear of death are all part of the new “fear” reality. Fear is epidemic in the world right now and is being spread by our politicians and fanned by the news media. The goal in ratcheting up scare tactics is power. Listen to us, do as we say! Inciting fear is an insidious way of taking power by creating chaos and encouraging you to hand over your own wisdom. The purveyors of power encourage you to relinquish your ability to discern, to listen to the facts and decide, to trust your own intuition and to respond appropriately. More importantly, you are cut off from your divine source and unable to see, feel or hear the truth which leaves you at the mercy of fear mongers.

Fear erodes destiny more than any other emotion. The frequency of fear paralyses you into a robotic state, creates a state of over reaction, or sends you into a powerless depression. It blocks intuitive guidance and acts like a magnet to attract to you the very thing to you are afraid of. The greater the fear, the more powerful the pull toward negative manifestation.

A well-known Chinese quote says “The tiger chases you until you turn to face it and then it falls away of its own weight.” The foundation of this quote promotes the wisdom that when you are no longer afraid, courage resides and divine guidance expresses effortlessly.

Ultimately, the greatest fear of all is the fear of death and the pain it causes when we lose someone. Once we face this fear by coming to the realization that death is inevitable and pain and loss are a part of this earth experience – then you can truly live. Accepting that life is not good and death is not bad is key to a courageous existence. While in a state of calm, prayerful meditation and communication with divine energy, merges you with the great light of universal existence. Connection with this higher power brings you the capacity to transform pain into peace. This transformation allows your light to express fully and freely and is the true purpose of your life

All we have to fear is fear itself” — FDR WWII

Don’t you know yet? It is your light that lights the world.” — Rumi

Listen to the inner light; it will guide you. Listen to the inner peace; it will feed you. Listen to the inner love; it will transform you” — Chinmoy

Could You Have “Orthorexia”?

While reading a very interesting collection of articles by Dr. Andrew Weill, I came across this article on a new eating disorder that doctors are starting to identify. I have always been very interested in healthy eating, and have certainly taken many different dietary agendas out for a spin. However, I am seeing a real uptick in clients who are becoming obsessed with what they do or do not eat. There is a difference in conscious eating for compassion, health or allergies and becoming addicted to food control. This article is well done and explains this emerging disorder clearly.
